Caprice is a new treble choir composed of high school girls who share a passion for vocal music and ensemble singing. An auditioned group open to singers age 14+, the group focuses on building strong foundational skills in vocal technique, sight-reading, and part-singing. The ensemble performs primarily SSA repertoire, exploring a diverse range of styles including classical, folk, spirituals, and contemporary choral music written for treble voices. This group is limited to 12-24 singers, and will also prepare music for WSMA Solo & Ensemble festivals.
Through regular Thursday rehearsals, performances, and community engagement, choir members grow in musical confidence, develop a sense of camaraderie, and learn to express themselves with artistry and discipline. Whether preparing for concert performances, festivals, or events, Caprice fosters a supportive environment where young women are encouraged to find their voice, both musically and personally.
